Due to a strong pipeline of projects Clarke Energy is seeking a Commissioning Coordinator to join our dynamic construction team. Reporting to the Commissioning Manager, you will be an integral link between the Engineering and Construction teams responsible for delivery of Projects within the business unit.
PURPOSE
Coordinate commissioning activities for Clarke Energy to ensure safe, profitable, efficient and compliant execution, commissioning and close out of Projects for Clarke Energy.
To provide excellence in Engineering and Construction, through ensuring Commissioning tasks are aligned with internal external stakeholder requirements, in regard to safety, quality, project management processes, standards and specifications.
The Commissioning Coordinator is responsible for the implementation of the Commissioning Plan to ensure that project objectives are achieved throughout the construction, commissioning, closeout and handover of EPC projects.
To formulate and drive continuous improvement of project quality, safety and management processes through business improvement initiatives that streamline, standardise and improve efficiency ultimately ensuring that value for money is maximised and cost savings are generated. A professional and accountable approach is required at all times.

TECHNICAL
Lead the commissioning teams responsible for factory acceptance testing, installation verification
handover, pre-commissioning, commissioning, performance testing and reliability testing.
Execute the Commissioning Plan and coordinate resources to define and manage the commissioning
scope of work.
Ensure that system commissioning procedures are developed, approved and finalised, and that they
include the appropriate content and detail to ensure safe and thorough commissioning.
Participate in commissionability design reviews to minimise the commissioning schedule.
Set priorities for system handover that allows for the safe commissioning of systems while the
construction completes and hands over the remaining systems.
Provide day-to-day leadership and guidance to team members about the project so that team members
can understand their tasks fully and act on them efficiently.
Ensure that the project scope is divided up into systems that are defined to support ease of
commissioning and develop system and sub-system lists in order of priority.
Ensure systems are validated to meet performance specifications.
Ensure that the Commissioning Plan includes the details of materials, special tools, and specialist
engineering and vendor support required for safe, productive commissioning.
Monitor and coordinate teams across the project performing commissioning activities, including
contractor teams.
Monitor and coordinate timely and correct resolution of commissioning punch list items.
Ensure a look ahead work plan is established and managed, and that daily management activities are in
place to monitor progress against the commissioning schedule.
Prepare, coordinate and manage quality assurance documentation, handover packages from Project to
Operation and compilation of handover certificates.
Provide accurate reporting on commissioning and project status including identification of issues or
concerns, which may impact project delivery.

Safety Excellence:
Measure: Number of safety incidents during commissioning. Embrace, promote and contribute to the Incident and Injury Free (IIF) culture at Clarke Energy. Contribute to the delivery of Company Business and QUENSHT objectives. Adhere to company processes, policies and procedures. Target: Report all incidents and near misses. Zero incidents.
Evaluation: Review the Volt internal reporting database during Performance Review
Quality Assurance:
Measure: Adherence to Quality Management Plan and Commissioning Management Plan Target (for matters related to Commissioning Coordinator):

Evaluation: Review the Volt internal reporting database during Performance Review
On-Time Delivery:
Measure: Key commissioning milestones and critical path tasks, within Commissioning Coordinator’s control, completed on schedule.
Target: Meet nominated project schedule deadlines. Ensure all reports are submitted in a timely manner.
Evaluation: Monitor completion of works in accordance with schedule, report any schedule risks, address any potential delays promptly in consultation with Project Manager and Commissioning Manager.
Budget Control:
Measure: Compare actual commissioning costs with the budgeted costs. Target: Maintain commissioning costs within the allocated budget.
Evaluation: Regularly review budget to ensure that spending aligns with the planned budget. If there are any deviations or overspending, report to Commissioning Manager. Implement cost-saving measures as necessary to maintain financial discipline.
Customer Satisfaction:
Measure: Maintain effective relationships with Customers Target: No Customer Complaint NCR

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE / SKILLS
Trade or engineering qualification
High voltage experience or qualifications (desirable)
Hazardous area experience or qualifications (desirable)
Extensive technical knowledge and practical experience of testing, pre-commissioning and
commissioning, power generation plant and equipment preferred.
Proven track record of success in commissioning roles, comfortable with both mechanical and electrical
disciplines.
Practical experience in industrial control systems would be an advantage.
Proven project management and technical experience.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Proven ability to work as part of a team.
A can-do, hands-on approach, able to work well under pressure and prioritise workload to meet project
needs.
Flexible, adaptable and collaborative, willing to engage across the design disciplines.
Desire to learn and be mentored.
Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of effective Workplace Health, Safety, Environmental and
Quality practices.
