Commodity Manager Capex

Vertiv is looking for a results-driven Commodity Manager to own $50M–$100M in annual Capex & facilities spend, driving strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, and measurable cost savings across manufacturing sites in the Americas.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead end-to-end Capex procurement: strategy, RFx, negotiation, and contracting
  • Develop and execute category strategies aligned to cost, timeline, and business goals
  • Leverage analytics, market intelligence, and cost modeling to identify savings and efficiency opportunities
  • Build and manage supplier relationships for performance, continuity, and competitive pricing
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver critical projects on time and on budget

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, International Business, or related
  • 4+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or category management
  • Experience managing or supporting multi-million-dollar ($10M+) Capex or indirect spend categories
  • Proven ability to deliver measurable results (cost savings, cost avoidance, cash flow impact)
  • Skilled in strategic sourcing, RFx, supplier negotiations, and spend analytics

Preferred Qualifications

  • Manufacturing/industrial procurement experience
  • Procurement of production equipment or capital projects
  • Bilingual English/Spanish
  • Experience in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
