Commodity Manager - Electrical
The Commodity Manager – Electrical provides leadership and strategic direction for electrical commodities across all Vertiv EMEA Business Units. In alignment with Global and EMEA Procurement teams and regional Business Units, this role is responsible for developing and deploying commodity strategies that support Vertiv’s business growth, operational excellence, and financial performance.
The role plays a critical part in streamlining and improving supply chain performance, strengthening supplier partnerships, and ensuring compliance with trade and Responsible Business requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, deploy, and execute EMEA electrical commodity strategies aligned with global procurement direction and business objectives.
- Coordinate cross‑functionally with Procurement, Operations, Engineering, Quality, Planning, and SIOP teams to improve supply chain performance.
- Support manufacturing plants with material shortages and escalation management, ensuring continuity of supply.
- Act as an escalation point for suppliers regarding performance, trade compliance, and Responsible Business requirements.
- Lead and support supplier performance reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support and enable system and tool implementations related to procurement and supply chain processes.
- Contribute to improved customer on‑time delivery and overall financial performance.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a related discipline; Master’s degree is an advantage.
- 3+ years of experience in commodity management, procurement, supply chain, or sourcing, preferably within manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Strong experience managing electrical commodities and global / regional supplier bases.
- Proven ability to develop and execute commodity strategies in a matrix, multi‑business‑unit environment.
- Experience working with suppliers on cost, performance, quality, and compliance topics.
- Solid understanding of trade compliance and Responsible Business / ethical sourcing principles.
The anticipated salary range for this role in the Nové Mesto nad Váhom locality is between 25 200€ to 31 500€ gross per year —salary ranges for other geographic localities may vary. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance and are role based. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role. Compensation ranges are determined based on objective, gender-neutral criteria including skills, experience, and job responsibilities. In addition to the salary listed above, a detailed overview of additional compensation, including bonuses and benefits, will be provided during the initial interview.
