communications associate (f/m/d)

At redalpine, we don't just back startups - we back the companies defining what comes next. From deep science to bold software, we partner with founders building the next wave of category-defining companies - N26, Mistral AI, Proxima Fusion, 9fin and many more. As our communications ambitions grow alongside the firm, we are looking for a creative, independent-minded, and driven part-time Communications Associate (60%) to help tell their stories - and ours.

You have at least 4 years of experience in communications, marketing, or a related field, and you don't wait to be told what to do. You have a sharp editorial instinct, a genuine feel for social storytelling, and a detail-oriented approach to events and campaigns. Here, you will shape how redalpine shows up in the world - owning our content channels and taking the lead on events that bring our ecosystem together.

This is not a typical comms role. It is a front-row seat to Europe's most exciting startup stories and a chance to shape how one of Europe's leading venture capital firms is perceived by founders, investors, and the startup community.

What you'll do
  • Bring the brand to life: own and execute redalpine's communications across channels - leading on LinkedIn but actively experimenting beyond it to find what works.

  • Tell compelling stories: craft engaging content across formats - blog posts, portfolio announcements, website copy, and partner thought leadership - translating complex ideas about technology and venture into narratives that resonate with founders, investors, and the startup ecosystem.

  • Own our event programme: plan and deliver redalpine's events - from intimate founder and LP gatherings to major ecosystem conferences - bringing strong creative direction and meticulous attention to detail.

  • Create and design: produce clear, visually strong materials in Canva and similar tools to support campaigns, events, and brand moments.

  • Measure and refine: track performance across channels and continuously improve how we communicate and engage.

  • Communications foundation: 4+ years in communications, marketing, or a related field, ideally in the startup, tech, VC, or finance world.

  • Writer first: exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English (German a plus); you know how to turn complex ideas into clear, engaging narratives.

  • Content and social native: a genuine talent for LinkedIn strategy and newsletter creation, with the creativity to experiment beyond established channels.

  • Events instinct: a track record of planning and coordinating events with a strong creative and detail-oriented approach.

  • Design-literate: comfortable working in Canva or Photoshop to produce clear, compelling visuals.

  • AI-native: you know how to best use AI tools to enhance storytelling and streamline your work.

  • Self-directed: organised and proactive, with the confidence to set your own agenda and work without close management or rigid frameworks.

  • Impact from day one: shape how one of Europe's top VC brands engages founders, investors, and the startup community, with real ownership of live projects from the start.
  • Access and exposure: gain direct insight into the European tech ecosystem and expand your professional network across venture, tech, and media.
  • A team that moves fast: join a small, ambitious team with quick decision cycles, appetite for new ideas, and a culture that values independent thinking.
  • Flexibility and balance: 60% position with a hybrid work setup and office in the heart of Berlin
  • Team perks: Urban Sports Club membership, monthly team dinners, regular all-team events across Europe including our yearly ski day and offsite.
