Community Engagement Supervisor

Waystone is currently seeking a Community Engagement Coordinator to lead the development and delivery of high‑quality, person‑centered programs for individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities. This professional role focuses on creating structured recreational, social, and vocational opportunities that promote skill building, independence, self‑advocacy, and meaningful community inclusion. The coordinator works collaboratively with participants, families, guardians, and community partners to ensure all programming aligns with regulatory standards, industry best practices, and Waystone’s Core Values.

Location: Haverhill, MA (Day Habilitation Program)

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:00pm

Compensation range: This is a 40-hour, non-exempt, full-time position. The annualized salary range is between $44,000 - $46,000. This position is a benefit eligible as of date of hire.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with Day Hab and CBDS supervisors to monitor daily program activities, maintain schedules, and ensure staffing levels meet participant needs and regulatory requirements.
  • Organize and manage internal and external vendors to deliver person‑centered activities that meet individual needs, promote independence, and support continuity of care.
  • Provide oversight and clear communication for staff assigned through external staffing agencies to maintain consistency and service quality.
  • Partner with Supervisors and Case Managers to design and implement community initiatives and on‑site curriculum, coordinating external vendors supporting Parkridge programming.
  • Maintain organizational vehicles through preventative maintenance, repairs, compliance monitoring, and service documentation, and report emergent issues to the Director of Facilities.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all community event tracking and reporting align with individual and agency goals and are entered into Waystone data systems.
  • Gather information on community interest to help determine person-centered planning and adjust activities based on on-going feedback.
  • Collaborate with team on monthly newsletter
  • Complete all mandatory training courses to ensure skill maintenance and development.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED with at least three (3) years of experience within the field of intellectual and developmental disabilities, Human Services or related field.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish preferred.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of case management and case reviews experience, preferably in a related setting.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and general office technology; able to handle confidential information with professionalism and sound judgment.
  • Valid Driver’s license with a minimum of 1 year’s driving experience required.
  • Regular and predicable attendance.
