Goals and Objectives

Community Engagement, Member Satisfaction & Event Management

  1. Communicate and work closely with local teams and members to ensure the highest level of member satisfaction.

  2. Develop community initiatives designed to create connections between members, including member introductions, overseeing in-person events and online events.

  3. Brainstorm, propose, organize and host events for Members and ensuring there is a good balance of business, educational, social, lifestyle, Member appreciation and other types of events as outlined

  4. Coordinating end-to-end event logistics, including vendors, venue bookings, and promotions

  5. Gather post-event feedback to measure success and improve future initiatives

  6. Proactively interact with Members and upsell TEC services such as hosting, event management, etc.

  7. Proactively promoting exclusive Member Benefits and programs

  8. Address Member enquiries or concerns related to Community with a hospitable and service-oriented approach

  9. Gain more perks for Member Benefits by collaborating with brand partnerships and ensuring the value-added aspects to our Members, and identify more local partners to elevate Member Benefits quality.

  10. Work with cross-functional teams locally and globally on Community initiatives

Administration & Reporting

  1. Maintain records of event attendance, member feedback through internal system

  2. Assist in tracking community-related KPIs (e.g., satisfaction scores, retention rates) and prepare reports for reporting manager

  3. Maintain records of photos, videos and other key visuals through internal system

Online Engagement & Social Media

  1. Design and implement guidelines and best practices for both online and offline communities to optimize member experience. Exercise discretion in guiding prospective members, including possibly gatekeeping where business may not be in the interests of the greater community.

  2. Moderate and facilitate internal Community online forum by posting relevant TEC, member-related and industry content, participating in conversations with forum members, and managing negative comments/complaints in a respectful manner that reflects the TEC value system.

  3. Manage the local posting of Community by submitting content such as photos and videos to Marketing team, and it will be shared regularly on TEC channels based on guidelines

Membership & Collaboration with Members and Non-Members

  1. Expand TEC Community by acquiring Corporate Members and Access/Individual Pass

  2. Explain TEC policies and procedures to Members, including but not limited to: membership and collaboration agreement, and billing procedures at initial Community welcome check-in process.

  3. Proactively engage members to discover and discuss members’ objectives, i.e. using member service request as an opportunity to learn more about member, member’s business and any other needs member may have. Identify opportunities and act on them to connect members.

  4. Create public events and programs to expand TEC Community bring in potential clients and partners

  5. Develop B2B Showcase through profit-sharing model or upselling of TEC main products and services.

  6. Attend local industry, business and public events as TEC brand ambassador.

  7. Develop business partnership with Chamber of Commerce, Business Association, University Alumni, and other potential Business Community to expand content-based events and expand TEC Community awareness.

Experience and Requirements:

  1. University/polytechnic graduate with 1-3 years of experience

  2. Prior event management and customer relationship management required, event hosting or MC experience preferred

  3. Passion and understanding for entrepreneurial or other business communities

  4. Exceptional organizational, time management and multitasking skills

  5. Demonstrate integrity, dependability, responsibility, accountability, self-awareness, work ethic, and empathy

  6. Outgoing and positive personality – Community team are required to walk into networking events and be comfortable introducing themselves and others to Members or Non-Members and able to work with different stakeholders positively

  7. Exceptionally communicative – Proficient in English and a local language is a must. Community team must excel at clear, tailored online communication. They embrace and value the differences among different communication platforms and are eager to explore the best methods for interacting with community members.
