<\/p>Swaniti\nInitiative is looking for a seasoned, street\-smart, and deeply embedded Community Lead<\/span><\/b> to spearhead our "Just\nTransition" program in the coal belts of Telangana.<\/span><\/span>
<\/p>As\ncoal mines undergo repurposing, local economies face a critical turning point.\nWe need a catalyst who doesn't just manage meetings but knows how to move the needle<\/span>. You will be the bridge between\ntraditional livelihoods and future\-ready economic opportunities, ensuring that\nno community is left behind as the industrial landscape shifts.<\/span><\/span>

Key\nResponsibilities<\/span><\/span><\/b>

- Mobilize Gram\n Panchayats:<\/span><\/b> Grassroots\-level organizing to reconfigure and articulate the\n evolving needs of the community. You will help villages find their voice\n in the face of economic change.<\/span>
<\/li>- Strategic Liaison:<\/span><\/b> Work directly\n with local administration (District Collectorate, Block offices) and\n State\-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) to identify and unlock alternative economic\n pathways.<\/span>
<\/li>- Enable Systemic\n Shift:<\/span><\/b> Align community aspirations with available government schemes and\n industrial opportunities to facilitate a smooth socio\-economic transition.<\/span>
<\/li>- Stakeholder\n Navigation:<\/span><\/b> Navigate the complex dynamics between labor unions, local leaders,\n and administrative bodies to drive consensus.<\/span>

- The Local Insider:<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b> You have spent\n at least <\/span><\/span>7\u20138 years<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b> working within communities in Telangana.\n You understand the nuances of the local culture, language (Telugu fluency\n is a must), and the specific socio\-economics of the coal belt.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/li>- The\n "Needle\-Mover":<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b> You have a proven track record\n of not just "doing activities" but achieving <\/span><\/span>tangible outcomes<\/span><\/span><\/span>. You know how to get things done\n within the bureaucratic and social systems of rural India.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/li>- The\nStrategist:<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b> You can look at a closed mine and see a dozen new\nopportunities, whether in renewable energy, circular economy, or decentralised manufacturing.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/li>- Communicator\n\- <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b>You\u2019re as comfortable\nhaving a grounded conversation with a farmer as you are confidently presenting\nideas to a District Magistrate or corporate leader.<\/span><\/span><\/span>

Requirements<\/h3>- Experience:<\/span><\/b> Minimum 7\u20138\n years of experience in community organizing, rural development, or local\n governance.<\/span>
<\/li>- Education:<\/span><\/b> An\n undergraduate degree in Social Work, Public Policy, Rural Management, or a\n related field.<\/span>
<\/li>- History:<\/span><\/b> An established\n history of leading community\-led change or livelihood programs.<\/span>
<\/li>- Logistics:<\/span><\/b> Should be based in or willing to travel extensively across Mancherial and Pedapalli.<\/span>
