Compliance Auditor

Position Summary

The Compliance Auditor ensures the organization adheres to external laws, industry regulations, and internal policies. This role focuses on identifying compliance risks, conducting internal audits, and evaluating the effectiveness of internal controls to protect the organization from regulatory and operational exposure.

  • Location: On-site, Austin Texas
  • Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
  • Compensation: $24-27/hr

Responsibilities

  • Conduct internal audits of departments and operational processes to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
  • Identify potential legal or operational risks and evaluate existing internal controls.
  • Perform compliance reviews related to regulations such as TCPA, EPA, OSHA, and other state and federal standards.
  • Prepare clear audit findings and provide actionable recommendations to leadership to address compliance gaps.
  • Track reported compliance breaches and support corrective action plans through resolution.
  • Review and update company policies to reflect new regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and deliver training or workshops to ensure employees understand updated compliance protocols.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Criminal Justice, or Legal Studies
  • 2–4 years of experience in compliance, auditing, risk management, regulatory review, or a related field.
  • Experience in construction management environments is preferred.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as TCPA, EPA, OSHA, and state/federal compliance standards.
  • Exposure to Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) tools such as ServiceNow and project management platforms like Asana or Jira.

Other Skills & Competencies

  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables, with the ability to analyze large data sets.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify discrepancies within large volumes of documentation.
  • Analytical mindset that questions and verifies information rather than taking it at face value.
  • Ability to write clear, factual, and neutral audit reports and present findings effectively
