Compliance Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Localize and execute national compliance strategies to ensure adherence to laws, regulations, and company policies in Japan
  • Advise business leaders and cross-functional teams on compliance risks, providing practical solutions to enable business objectives.
  • Monitor and interpret evolving regulatory requirements in healthcare, anti-corruption, data privacy, and commercial practices.
  • Conduct compliance training and awareness programs for employees and partners throughout the region.
  • Lead internal investigations and manage responses to regulatory inquiries or audits.
  • Collaborate with global Legal and Compliance teams to harmonize standards and share best practices.
  • Engage with external counsel, regulators, and industry groups to proactively address compliance challenges and opportunities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Law (JD or equivalent required); advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CCEP) preferred.
  • 3-5 years of legal and compliance experience in healthcare, med-tech, or regulated industries
  • Strong knowledge of local laws and regulations (e.g., anti-bribery, data privacy, healthcare compliance).
  • Proven ability to lead compliance programs and manage complex investigations.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Native level Japanese and Fluency in English; proficiency are required
