Compliance Officer
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement compliance programmes to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, including AML/CFT regulations.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the firm’s compliance programme, including its policies, procedures, and controls.
- Serve as the firm’s primary point of contact with the BMA on compliance-related matters.
- Ensure that the firm’s personnel and clients are aware of and comply with regulatory requirements.
- Develop and deliver training programmes for personnel on AML/CFT regulations.
- Conduct periodic risk assessments to identify potential areas of non-compliance and make recommendations for remediation.
- Investigate and report suspicious activity to the relevant authorities.
- Stay up-to-date with regulatory changes and ensure that the firm’s compliance programme is adapted accordingly.
- Prepare and submit regulatory filings and reports as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, law, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in compliance, with specific experience in AML/CFT.
- Strong understanding of compliance best practices and regulations, with knowledge of the BMA’s rules and regulations considered an advantage.
- Knowledge of the regulatory requirements of other relevant jurisdictions is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and compliance-related software.
