Component Quality Engineer
A successful Component Quality Engineer is technical, driven, organized, detail oriented, adept at driving actions and resolving conflicts; and communicates with ease at all levels.
In this role your lead responsibilities will include:
Minimum Qualifications
5+ years of industry experience in one or more of the following disciplines: Electrical component Manufacturing (IC component — either wafer Fab or backend Assembly, or Passive component); Component Testing; Quality; Reliability.
Proven proficiency in failure analysis methodologies (e.g., cross-sectional analysis, SEM/EDX, X-Ray, FTIR) and problem-solving frameworks like 8D and SPC.
Good teamwork with constant interfacing with multiple functional teams across Apple and suppliers.
BS/MS/PhD Electrical or Chemical or Material Engineering.
English - Excellent in reading, writing & speaking.
Preferred Qualifications
Hands on experience on full lifecycle quality management of IC components (SoC, Memory, ASICs, Power ICs) and Passive components (Capacitor, Magnetics, Resistors, Crystals, etc..).
Circuit design knowledge - understanding of components used in both digital and analog power design.
Familiarity in system manufacturing, PCBA SMT process, and transitioning new products into high volume manufacturing.
Ability to craft and deliver presentations tailored to executive audiences.
Interpersonal skills of leadership, project management, communication, teamwork, influencing and negotiation.
Knowledge of IC component and circuit failure analysis with their respective methodologies.
Strong technical skills, involving problem solving and issue root causing in a pressured environment.
Strong quality knowledge in product development and manufacturing environment.
Flexibility on travel. Experience working with off-shore electronic manufacturing sites to perform process and quality audits
Able to communicate with Mandarin will be an advantage.
