Salary will be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.

Level II:

Estimated annual base pay: $65,000 (minimum) - $84,500 (midpoint) - $104,000 (maximum)

Level III:

Estimated annual base pay: $77,000 (minimum) - $100,000 (midpoint) - $123,000 (maximum)

Level II:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and drives all aspects of configuration control in accordance with program Configuration Management Plans and contractual requirements to insure compliance with internal, customer, and regulatory requirements.

  • Evaluates, documents, and implements configuration changes, ensuring all modifications adhere to established procedures and maintain system integrity.

  • Assists with regular audits of configuration items to verify compliance with quality standards and specifications.

  • Conduct Configuration Audits: Performs regular audits to verify the accuracy of configuration items and adherence to procedures.

  • Resolve Configuration Issues: Identifies and addresses configuration related problems using established operating procedures and analytical methods.

  • Coordinate Product Change Board activities

Key Skills:

  • Tool Proficiency: Proficient in utilizing configuration management tools such as Windchill and SAP.

  • Technical Documentation: Skilled in creating and maintaining detailed technical documentation for configurations and processes.

  • Attention to Detail: Demonstrates high accuracy in managing configuration data and detecting inconsistencies.

  • Configuration Management: Expertise in maintaining and controlling system configurations to ensure consistency and traceability in a timely manner to meet internal & external customer needs.

  • Analytical Skills: Capable of analyzing complex systems and processes to identify configuration requirements and discrepancies.

  • Mentoring: Demonstrates skill in training and mentoring others in configuration management systems.

  • Process Improvement: Experienced in identifying and implementing enhancements to configuration management processes.

  • Communication and Coordination: Effectively conveys technical configuration information within the team and to relevant stakeholders.

  • Problem Solving: Adept at troubleshooting configuration issues and implementing appropriate solutions using established methods.

  • Fully understands compliance requirements and is able to assist or represent configuration management in compliance audits.

Level III:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configuration Planning: Develops and maintains comprehensive configuration management plans to ensure accurate tracking and control of all configuration items throughout their lifecycle.

  • Mentors other Configuration Management Specialists and engineers on the configuration management process.

  • Provides leadership in regular audits of configuration items to verify compliance with quality standards and specifications.

  • Process Improvement: Identifies opportunities to enhance configuration management processes and implements best practices to increase efficiency and compliance. Leads Kaizens and other continuous improvement activities to improve configuration and engineering efficiencies.

  • Provides complex data mining and reporting on configuration data to support special projects. May assist in testing changes to configuration management system.

Key Skills:

  • Configuration Management Systems: Demonstrated subject matter expert in utilizing configuration management software and tools such as Windchill, SAP, Excel and Power BI to maintain system integrity, compliance and efficiency.

  • Communication Skills: Demonstrated ability to author, collaborate with stakeholders, and maintain engineering procedures.

  • Initiative: Scans environment, possesses a strong awareness of business needs and impacts of configuration data. Drives corrections, improvements, and new capabilities.

  • Configuration Management: Subject matter expert in maintaining and controlling system configurations to ensure consistency and traceability in a timely manner to meet internal & external customer needs.

  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Expert ability to mine data from MRP and PLM systems and automate reporting for Configuration Management metrics and special projects.

  • Technical Leadership: Demonstrated expertise in training, coaching and mentoring team members in configuration management practices.

  • Process Improvement: Ability to analyze and enhance configuration management processes for increased efficiency. Lead in validating new methods, tools, processes and system improvements.

  • Cross Functional Coordination: Skilled in coordinating and mediating efforts with related teams to achieve configuration management and business objectives.

  • Problem Solving: Expert at troubleshooting configuration issues in conjunction with developing and implementing process solutions.

  • Subject Matter Expert in configuration management theory and related corporate, customer and industry standards. Team leader in compliance audits.
