Overview

We are looking for an experienced Construction Quality Control (CQC) Manager to oversee quality assurance activities and ensure projects meet contract requirements, safety standards, and industry regulations. This role involves managing inspections, documentation, and coordination across project teams to deliver high-quality results.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management (10+ years experience) or 20+ years of relevant experience
  • 7–10+ years in commercial and/or industrial construction
  • Current CQM Certification (USACE/NAVFAC) (or willingness to obtain within 6 months)
  • Strong knowledge of civil, architectural, mechanical, and electrical systems
  • Understanding of construction sequencing and scheduling
  • Experience with change management and quality control processes
  • Proficiency with construction software
  • Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Able to walk job sites, climb ladders/stairs, and perform inspections daily
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Responsibilities

  • Manage QC documentation, submittals, and daily reports
  • Review shop drawings and ensure compliance with project specs
  • Lead QC meetings and coordinate with project teams
  • Conduct inspections (preparatory, initial, and follow-up)
  • Ensure materials meet approved standards
  • Track inspections, testing, and commissioning activities
  • Maintain as-built drawings and closeout documentation
  • Identify and resolve quality or compliance issues
  • Stop work when necessary to ensure safety and quality
