Construction Section Head - Civil

  • Lead and manage all civil construction activities including earthworks, foundations, concrete structures, underground services, paving, and infrastructure works.
  • Ensure that the day-to-day operations are conducted in accordance with the daily construction plan and schedule.
  • Co-ordinate with other project sections to achieve the above target.
  • Ensure that the required resources are available on time. Identify problems and resolve them.
  • Ensure compliance with ADNOC standards, project specifications, and HSE regulations.
  • Review and approve method statements, risk assessments, and work plans before execution.
  • Coordinate closely with engineering, QA/QC, HSE, planning, and procurement teams to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Monitor construction progress against schedule and implement corrective actions when required.
  • Supervise and control subcontractors to ensure quality and productivity targets are achieved.
  • Participate in construction meetings and provide technical solutions to site challenges.
  • Ensure proper implementation of the Permit-to-Work (PTW) system and maintain strict safety compliance in live plant environments.
  • Review civil drawings and resolve technical discrepancies in coordination with the engineering team.
  • Support project reporting including manpower allocation, productivity tracking, and progress updates.
  • Ensure all civil works meet quality standards and inspection requirements before handover.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s / Master's Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Minimum 15 – 20 years of experience in Oil & Gas or EPC construction projects.
  • At least 5 years in a senior supervisory or section head role managing civil construction works.
  • Proven experience working on ADNOC or major GCC Oil & Gas projects.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage large civil teams and subcontractors.
  • Excellent knowledge of construction sequencing, site execution strategies, and productivity management.
  • Thorough understanding of HSE regulations, risk assessments, and PTW systems.
  • Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure in fast-track project environments.
  • ADNOC approval or prior ADNOC leadership experience is a strong advantage.
