Connected Places Catapult are looking for a new team member to support the Digital Construction International Programme. This is a flagship 3-year programme with the Department of Business and Trade. The programme is designed to address market failures that currently limit the global adoption of digital construction and constrain UK export potential. At its core, the programme converts the UK’s standards into long‑term export growth by reshaping overseas procurement systems, so they favour UK capability.
The Role
Connected Places Catapult are looking for a new team member to support the Digital Construction International Programme. This is a flagship 3-year programme with the Department of Business and Trade. The programme is designed to address market failures that currently limit the global adoption of digital construction and constrain UK export potential. At its core, the programme converts the UK’s standards into long‑term export growth by reshaping overseas procurement systems, so they favour UK capability.
The Consultant will play a central role in designing and activating the Digital Construction Exports Group (DCEG) ecosystem, helping UK firms become better prepared, better connected and better positioned to win work in priority international markets. The role will focus on building relationships with UK exporters, including consultancy firms, supply chain organisations and SMEs, to strengthen collaboration, improve the visibility of UK capability and reduce barriers to export through ecosystem services and engagement activities. The Consultant will also support the design and delivery of country-specific export programmes, ensuring they generate measurable outcomes such as supplier engagement, new partnerships and improved market access.
- Designing and implementing the Digital Construction Exports Group ecosystem, including its strategy, operational model, and stakeholder engagement approach
- Supporting the development and roll out of the Digital Construction Exports Group online platform, ensuring effective launch, onboarding and ongoing engagement
- Delivering exporter-focused services and opportunities for the ecosystem, including events, market intelligence, and support materials for SMEs, Tier 1s and consultancy firms
- Working on ongoing market intelligence and stakeholder engagement to ensure that UK suppliers feel supported and connected to the programme opportunities
- Support the design of export acceleration programmes, including supplier cohorts, partnerships and delivery plans aligned to market opportunities
- Ensuring strong impact and monitoring tasks are performed, to track performance, capture outcomes and drive continuous improvement
