Role Summary
This role is part of the Data Management Enablement (DME) Center of Excellence and supports enterprise data governance through Collibra Data Quality, Catalog (metadata), and Data Lineage capabilities. The associate acts as a hands-on enablement expert, helping data stakeholders design effective data quality rules, onboard and manage metadata, and maintain lineage. This is a COE support role focused on tooling support, stakeholder engagement, and driving adoption of governance practices.
Key Responsibilities
Design, support, and optimize data quality rules in Collibra Data Quality (CDQ)
Perform data profiling, validation, and root cause analysis to improve data quality
Support metadata ingestion, catalog curation, and business glossary management in Collibra
Assist in documenting and maintaining end-to-end data lineage
Design, configure, and manage Collibra workflows (issue remediation, approvals, data certification, CDE lifecycle)
Optimize workflows to improve efficiency, traceability, and auditability
Provide day-to-day platform support (workflows, permissions, inbox, issue resolution)
Translate business requirements into DQ rules, metadata structures, and configurations
Run office hours, trainings, and user support sessions to drive adoption
Support UAT, release validation, and production readiness
Contribute to reporting, audit, and compliance (e.g., BCBS 239 (data risk aggregation regulation), GDPR)
Identify opportunities to improve automation, efficiency, and governance processes, including AI-driven enhancements
Support AI-assisted metadata discovery, classification, and tagging and stay current with emerging governance AI capabilities
Required Skills & Qualifications
For internal applications - 24 months as Associate Consultant
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline
~6 years of experience in data governance, data quality, or data management
Strong hands-on experience with Collibra Data Quality , Collibra Catalog / Metadata Management, Data Lineage support
Expertise in data quality rule design and data profiling
Working knowledge of SQL, Excel, and basic scripting
Experience with Collibra workflows, APIs and configuration
Familiarity with tools like Azure DevOps (ADO) or similar
Strong understanding of data governance, metadata, and data quality frameworks
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Ability to run office hours and support global users
Preferred Skills
Experience with Atacama, Informatica, Talend, or similar tools
Exposure to Collibra APIs, automation, or scripting (Python/JavaScript)
Experience in regulated environments (BCBS 239, GDPR)
Familiarity with AI-driven data governance capabilities
Success Profile
