Container Transport Controller

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily trucking operations/activities to meet customers’ delivery and collection requirements are fulfilled on time and within operational cost parameters.
• Provide accurate, real-time updates on job progress through operational systems to enhance transparency and decision making.
• Monitor truck movements, delivery statuses and fleet performance to optimize utilization and resource allocation.
• Coordinate closely with Prime Mover Drivers and customers to ensure seamless execution of container trucking consignments, including deliveries and collections.
• Manage and oversee a fleet of 12 Prime Movers, ensuring efficient deployment and operational effectiveness.
• Verify driver incentive calculations and related documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Adapt to additional duties assigned by management to support overall operational goals.

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in trucking, fleet control, and logistics operations to support effective management of trucking activities.
• Proficiency in operational systems, tracking platforms, and basic reporting tools such as MS Excel to facilitate accurate monitoring and reporting.
• Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills to manage complexlogistics scenarios and stakeholder interactions.
• Ability to multitask and perform effectively under pressure in a fast pacedenvironment.
• Attention to detail in tracking operations and verifying incentive calculations to maintain operational integrity.
