🔑 About The Job

We’re looking for a Content Lead (DE) to take ownership of written content across all marketing channels. You will ensure that the Omaze brand voice is consistent, compelling, and localized for the German market in aligment with the Brand Positioning for Germany.

This is a hands-on role with strategic oversight and execution responsibilities. You will lead copywriting efforts, ensuring marketing copy across digital, email, website, brand and performance marketing assets. Additionally, you will build and manage a team of in-house and freelance copywriters, ensuring high-quality content production at scale.

🔧 What You’ll Be Doing

  • Content Strategy & Execution

    • Manage and further develop our content playbook for the German market, ensuring messaging resonates with local audiences.

    • Own the creation and management of marketing copy across web, email, digital, social media, TV scripts, and PR content.

    • Ensure all content is optimised for brand consistency, engagement, and conversion.

  • Copywriting & Editing

    • Write and refine engaging content for landing pages, email marketing, paid media, and social media ads tailored to the German market.

    • Proofread and edit copy from internal and external writers to maintain brand integrity and tone of voice.

    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, such as gambling and advertising laws in Germany.

  • Team Leadership & Resource Management

    • Build and manage a team of in-house and freelance copywriters, scaling resources as needed to meet content demands.

    • Develop guidelines, workflows, and quality control processes to ensure high content standards.

    • Provide direction, training, and feedback to writers, ensuring alignment with brand tone of voice and performance objectives.

    • Balance hands-on content creation with managing and delegating workload effectively.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration

    • Work closely with the Marketing Director, Growth, Creative, Social Media, and Brand teams to align content with campaign objectives.

    • Collaborate with charity partners and media agencies to ensure content meets their branding and messaging needs.

    • Assist in research and performance tracking to refine content strategy based on customer engagement data.

🫵 About You

  • Fluent German speaker with excellent proficiency in English.

  • Strong copywriting and content creation experience, ideally in a startup, e-commerce, or performance-driven marketing environment.

  • Proven experience in building and managing content teams, including both in-house and freelance resources.

  • Ability to translate and adapt content from English to German while preserving tone and effectiveness.

  • Experience working with digital marketing teams and familiarity with content performance metrics.

  • Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple projects under tight deadlines.

  • Passion for storytelling and a data-driven approach to content optimization.

  • Understanding of SEO principles, email marketing, and social media best practices is a plus.

  • Must be willing to travel domestically for creative projects as needed, plus regular travel to London HQ.
