Content & Marketing Assistant Manager

This hybrid role combines content production and marketing promotion. You will independently design and fully execute song promotion strategies and supporting implementation plans, managing end-to-end core music projects including early-stage planning, content creation, partner liaison and full campaign rollout amid growing project scale and complexity that demand strong cross-team collaboration and resource coordination. What you'll do:

  • Carry out competitive analysis covering music genres, major streaming platforms and user music consumption behaviors
  • Take charge of overall promotion coordination for music projects with support from data insights and market trends
  • Formulate release strategies and marketing plans, and refine core selling points, product positioning and narrative promotion angles
  • Oversee timelines, deliverables and budget control for all content projects
  • Manage copyright licensing and compliance clearance for co-produced content
  • Track core KPIs including streaming volumes, revenue and ROI
  • Independently communicate, execute and advance cooperation matters, follow up contracts and maintain partner relationships
  • Complete other temporary work assigned by the supervisor and the company

Who you are:

Must-Have Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or above; majors in Music, Communication, Marketing and related disciplines are preferred.
  • 3–5 years of working experience in the music industry, with proven full-cycle song promotion experience from zero to one; proficient in the complete music production workflow and marketing logic.
  • Possess dual A&R and marketing capabilities; capable of independently managing end-to-end music projects with a track record of successful hit song releases.
  • Familiar with promotion logics and algorithm mechanisms of mainstream music & short-video platforms, including QQ Music, NetEase Cloud Music, Douyin, Kuaishou and Bilibili.
  • Excellent content planning acumen, able to spot commercially valuable music content by capturing market trends timely.
  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with outstanding time management and cross-department communication & coordination skills.
  • Resilient and able to thrive under heavy work pressure.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong English proficiency
  • Established personal network of artists and producers, capable of integrating industry resources to facilitate project delivery
  • In-depth professional insight into specific music genres (e.g., hip-hop, folk, pop)
  • Previous employment experience at record labels, hit-song indie labels or content studios of music streaming platforms
