Continuous Improvement Technician

  • Maintain a consistent presence on the floor to observe operations, support teams, and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Coach frontline teams in applying Lean tools to address process gaps and drive improvements
  • Support continuous improvement efforts through follow-up, coaching, and reinforcement of standard work.
  • Lead or support improvement initiatives using Lean and structured problem-solving methods.
  • Participate in shift FMDS meetings and reinforce daily management practices.
  • Facilitate root cause problem-solving activities using PDCA, 5 whys, fishbone analysis and other lean tools.
  • Support data collection, trend analysis and KPI reporting to identify operational improvement opportunities.
  • Maintain process documentation and track improvement activity.
  • Use process mapping and flow analysis to identify opportunities to improve forklift movement, material flow, and layout efficiency.
  • Occasional regional travel as needed to support improvement activities.
  • Occasional off-hours and weekend work required to support a 24/7 operation, especially during peak season

Required

  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, continuous improvement, operations support, or related industrial environment.
  • Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies including: PDCA
  • 5S
  • standard work
  • root cause analysis
  • visual management
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with frontline employees, supervisors, and cross-functional teams.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel and manufacturing data tracking systems.
  • Ability to maintain a consistent floor presence in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Supports initiatives focused on improving OEE, reducing waste, and minimizing operational losses.

Preferred

  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience supporting TPM, reliability improvement, or production efficiency initiatives.
  • Exposure to manufacturing KPI systems including OEE, downtime tracking, waste analysis, and productivity reporting.
  • Experience with Power BI, MES, CMMS, SAP, or other manufacturing systems preferred.
  • Food & Beverage manufacturing experience preferred.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in: Industrial technology, Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Business or a related technical discipline.
  • Equivalent combination of education, Lean training, and manufacturing experience will be considered.

Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing, continuous improvement, operations support, production supervision, maintenance coordination, or related industrial environment required.
