Contract Manager
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Contracts Manager to oversee mechanical, electrical, and civil engineering contracts within our operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills and be capable of conducting on-site audits of contractors to ensure compliance with contractual terms, safety standards, and budget constraints.
What you’re responsible for:
- Manage the full lifecycle of contracts related to equipment installation, facility upgrades and infrastructure maintenance
- Conduct on-site audits to verify contractor compliance with contractual obligations, timesheets, cost tracking and safety standards
- Prepare and present detailed audit reports including findings, risk assessments and recommendations
- Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance and Procurement teams to ensure contracts align with operational objectives
- Track contractor performance, project milestones and budget adherence
- Ensure all contracts comply with industry standards, local regulations and internal policies
- Support resolution of disputes, claims and contract amendments
To join our team:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering or related technical field
- 5 to 7 years of experience in contract management in an industrial, manufacturing or recycling environment
- Strong knowledge of metal recycling equipment: shredders, shears, balers, eddy current separators and conveyor systems
- Proven experience in field audits including timesheet verification and cost tracking
- Good knowledge of environmental and safety regulations applicable to industrial operations
- Excellent negotiation, communication and analytical skills
- Proficiency in contract management tools and Microsoft Office Suite
- Bilingualism French/English required (French preferred)
- Availability to travel to operational sites as needed
- Experience in scrap processing or industrial recycling facilities (asset)
- Contract management certification — CCMP, MRICS, PMP or equivalent (asset)
