Contracts Administrator
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Purchaser to join its Procurement Department and support day-to-day procurement operations for civil construction projects.
The role requires a hands-on professional with a strong background in civil contracting companies, responsible for executing purchasing activities, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring timely delivery of materials in line with project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Purchasing Operations
- Execute the full purchasing cycle including RFQs, quotation comparisons, and purchase order issuance
- Procure civil construction materials, equipment, and subcontract services as per project needs
- Ensure all purchases are aligned with project specifications and timelines
Supplier Coordination
- Communicate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules
- Follow up on orders to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any supply delays
Project Support
- Coordinate closely with site teams, engineers, and planning teams to understand material requirements
- Ensure procurement activities are aligned with project execution schedules
- Support urgent site requirements and fast-track procurement when needed
Cost & Commercial Awareness
- Compare supplier pricing and identify cost-effective solutions
- Support cost control by maintaining competitive sourcing practices
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, quotations, and supplier data
- Track order status and prepare procurement reports when required
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures
- Experience: 7–10 years as a Purchaser within civil contracting companies (mandatory)
- Strong background in general contracting (civil works)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Proven experience in purchasing construction materials and dealing with suppliers/subcontractors
- Good knowledge of procurement processes and supplier management
