Controllership Specialist

1. Overall end-to-end owner of accounting, control and compliance for the assigned entities (Medium risk/Manufacturing/ Non-manufacturing multi SBG co codes).
2. Compliance with US GAAP and Honeywell policies for assigned entities.
3. Own, manage and co-ordinate end-to-end accounting and control process including the period-end closing activities. Deliver a standard month end close timetable.
4. Troubleshoot system jobs for Month End; identify root cause & timely resolution to deliver close.
5. Support balance sheet review process. Completion of quarterly variance analysis of the B/S and P/L
6. Ensure robust controls in place and drive action to remediate process deficiency.
7. Manage balance sheet account reconciliation process, ensure reconciliations are delivered with quality and drive closure of aged / unreconciled / invalid items as per policy.
8. Coordinate and support Internal/ Corporate audit, external audit and SOX Compliance
9. Ensure a regular connection with BPO partners, key stakeholders in finance and business to deliver US GAAP compliant financials.
10. Provide financial reports, analysis, explanations and advice based on knowledge of financial information, relevant GAAP & supporting SAP systems to SBU/auditors.
11. Support implementation of Org. initiatives.
12. Identify & propose process improvement opportunity.

Qualification/ Experience:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in finance/ CA-Inter/CWA-Inter/ equivalent with strong finance background & minimum of 2 years’ experience in public accounting/ industry
2. Chartered Accountant/ICWA/ equivalent with strong academic achievements & minimum of 1-2 years’ post qualification experience in public accounting/audit/industry.

Skills :

1. Hands on experience/ Systems knowledge in SAP, HFM.
2. Extensive knowledge of USGAAP, SOX (Sarbanes Oxley Act).
3. Knowledge on Internal control framework in MNC setup.
4. Knowledge of Record-2-Report, month-end closing processes and best practices
5. Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
6. Good communication skills.
