About the position: This position is Non-Appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Moose Run Golf Course on Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, AK. Applications are open to ages 18 and older (21 if selling alcohol). Recruitment Incentive of $1000 may be authorized. This is a Seasonal position Not-To-Exceed 31-OCT-2026. Position is Flexible, meaning you are guaranteed a minimum of 0 hours per week to a maximum of 40 hours per week. Your schedule will depend on needs of the facility.
Performs a full range of simple cooking tasks by preparing and cooking items such as hamburgers, hot dogs, hot sandwiches, French fries, onion rings, other fry items, cold sandwiches, eggs, breakfast meats, hash browns, and other breakfast items. Prepares and cooks dehydrated soups, sauces, and gravies. Prepares food by peeling, chopping, paring, cutting, slicing, and dicing; weighs, measures, and assembles ingredients for regular menu items; portions food for distribution and meal service, and covers, dates, and stores leftovers according to established procedures. Washes and cleans kitchen equipment. Follows established sanitation procedures when handling food. Ensures that foods are stored at the correct temperatures to prevent bacteria growth. Operates a variety of kitchen equipment using gas, electricity, steam, or microwave heat sources. Disassembles, cleans, and assembles component parts and accessories according to safety procedures to avoid personal injury and damage to the equipment. Cleans other work areas and equipment, such as worktables floors, refrigerators, freezers, etc.. on an established cleaning schedule. Performs other related duties as assigned.
