Job Profile Summary
Under limited supervision, this position is responsible for coordinating students and faculty compliance requirements and maintaining compliance records for clinical education programs. Represents the College to clinical agencies, associate dean, faculty, and students. Position supports Broward College’s compliance with clinical contracts on behalf of clinical partners hosting our students, in accordance with federal, state, and accrediting requirements. Works closely with various stakeholders to ensure compliance standards are met.
Minimum Education:
- Bachelor’s degree: or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Holds current American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) certification and registration in radiography.
Minimum Experience/Training:
- Six years of clinical or related field experience required. Successful candidates will demonstrate progressive responsibilities including experience in managing high volume work streams and possesses working knowledge of clinical structure and management.
Essential Functions:
- Daily – 40% As the Clinical Health Sciences Coordinator, this position will be assigned by the Associate Dean to instruct specific laboratory, clinical, or lecture classes.
- Daily – 10% Coordinates, collects, manages, and evaluates appropriate documentation related to clinical and lab education including but not limited to health and physical screenings, releases, immunizations, BLS certifications, background and drug screening, regulatory compliance, and compliance with affiliating healthcare agency requirements.
- Weekly - 10%: Works closely with various stakeholders to ensure compliance standards are met for students and faculty participating in the learning experience.
- Daily - 10%: Performs and administers a wide range of staff and/or operational support activities for the Health Science programs as assigned. Assists visitors, resolves student issues and inquiries and serves as a liaison with clinical affiliates/ clinical education centers.Schedules regular visits to clinical affiliates/clinical education centers and seeks new affiliate education sites.
- Daily - 5%: Provides academic information and guidance to current and prospective students. Provides assistance with student enrollment in the program(s).
- As Needed - 5%: Establishes and maintains relationships and effective communication with counseling, registration, learning resources, advisory committees, external agencies, high schools and other colleges for purposes of dissemination of information.
- As Needed - 5%: Coordinates, collects and prepares accurate student records, inventory, course syllabi, catalog materials and other information of the program(s) as requested.
- As Needed - 5%: Coordinates with the supervisor to assist in academic planning, and preparing and implementing class scheduling, registration processes and administrative operations.
- Other - 5%: Assists in managing the operation of the clinical facilities in conjunction with the supervisor.
- As Needed - 5%: Performs related duties as assigned.

- Ability to exchange information with individuals and collaborate and colleagues within the College as well as presentation skills
- Requires advanced knowledge of computerized systems and operating environments i.e. Microsoft Office Products and specialized computer systems spec
- Ability to interact and effectively communicate with employee and student populations.
