Coordinator of Operations

Under the supervision of the Director of the Center for Leadership and Service, the Coordinator of Operations (Professional Services Specialist 4) is responsible for coordinating daily activities in the Center and for performing basic professional functions using established policies, procedures, precedents and guidelines. The Coordinator assists with the supervision, leadership and oversight of the Center’s student staff and is directly responsible for, in consultation with the Director, developing and implementing comprehensive trainings, coordinating departmental student staff meetings and enforcing established student employee policies and procedures. The Coordinator plays an integral role in the daily operations of the Center and performs related work as required. This position requires travel and a flexible schedule including evening and weekend hours.

Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited college with a Bachelor’s degree and one year of related professional work experience is required. Internal applicants who do not possess the required education may substitute full-time related Kean work experience on a year-for-year basis. A Master’s degree in a related field may be substituted for the one year of required experience. Candidate must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong organizational practices and principles to create and maintain files, records and reports and have strong advising, leadership and collaborative skills.

In compliance with New Jersey’s Pay Transparency Law, the negotiated annual salary range for this position is: $55,142.18 to $63,410.34 (Steps 1-4). Salaries for internal applicants will be based on union negotiated calculations. Employment at Kean requires working at any of our New Jersey campus locations or affiliated work sites, which may include, but not be limited to: the main campus in Union; Kean Ocean in Toms River; Kean Skylands in Jefferson Township; Kean Jersey City; Kean at Brookdale in Middletown Township; Manahawkin; Princeton; and Trenton. Location assignments will be based on operational and university needs. Faculty may also be assigned to teach online classes for Kean Global.
