Your opportunity

Help tell the stories that matter as a Corporate Communications Advisor with Mission Australia.

In this role within our Marketing and Communications team, you will bring our purpose to life by creating clear, compelling and impactful communications that support a fair Australia for people in need.

You will deliver high-quality external content across corporate publications, messaging and stakeholder communications, ensuring alignment with our Vision, brand and strategy. Drawing on strong technical communications expertise, you will develop messaging frameworks, shape corporate narratives and support reputation initiatives that build trust, confidence and connection with key audiences.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Deliver external corporate communications aligned to organisational strategy, priorities and reputation objectives
  • Draft, edit and coordinate high-quality communications for external audiences across multiple channels
  • Lead the coordination and delivery of major corporate publications, including the Annual Report
  • Develop and tailor messaging for different audiences, ensuring clarity, consistency and impact
  • Maintain strong editorial standards, including proofreading, tone of voice and brand alignment
  • Coordinate inputs, workflows and approvals across stakeholders to deliver communications projects on time
  • Build effective relationships with internal teams, designers, media and external suppliers
  • Ensure all communications are accurate, timely and aligned with corporate narratives and messaging frameworks
  • Manage content repositories, documentation and reporting on communications activities
  • Evaluate communications effectiveness and provide insights to support continuous improvement

Requirements for success

  • Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
  • 2–5 years’ experience in corporate communications, media or public relations roles
  • Proven experience drafting and editing content for external audiences with clarity and impact
  • Experience supporting or delivering corporate publications or major communications projects
  • Exceptional written communication and editing skills, with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to tailor messaging for different audiences while maintaining a consistent tone of voice
  • Strong planning and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple timelines
  • Confidence working with a range of stakeholders to gather input and drive outcomes
  • A collaborative approach and ability to work effectively across teams
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver to deadline

Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications, and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.
