Title: Corporate Communications Specialist
Location: Philadelphia, PA - 3 days a week in office
The Corporate Communications Specialist is responsible for driving engagement, conversation, and strategic communication at FMC through a variety of channels. They help internal and external audiences understand the company’s strategy, goals and objectives by creating effective communication content and managing key communication vehicles. This role reports to the Director of Corporate Communications and is a member of the FMC global communications team.
Essential responsibilities include:
Content Strategy & Planning
- Lead and execute the company’s corporate social media strategy, including content planning and publishing.
- Analyze performance across digital channels (social media, website) using engagement metrics and tools such as Google Analytics to refine content strategy and messaging.
Content Creation & Design
- Design and publish internal digital signage at global sites using the internal electronic signage system (Scala).
- Develop high-quality digital assets for social media and web using tools such as Canva and Adobe, ensuring consistency with brand standards.
Media Monitoring
- Monitor FMC’s media coverage, industry news and audience sentiment to assess reputational impact.
- Produce and distribute daily media roundups that synthesize key coverage and insights for executive leadership and internal stakeholders.
Channel Management
- Own, manage and maintain the company’s corporate website presence, ensuring content is current, accurate and aligned with corporate strategy, messaging, brand guidelines and user experience best practices.
- Act as Google Analytics Administrator; tracking and reporting on monthly website analytics to inform content strategy and optimization.
- Manage digital tools, asset libraries, and subscriptions to enable efficient content development and governance.
Events
- Support digital execution of major internal and external events (i.e., livestreams, content publishing and post-event analytics)
Preferred Skills/Qualities:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Graphic Design or a related field.
- 2+ years’ experience in corporate communications, marketing, or employee communications.
- Demonstrate strong writing and editing skills across corporate channels, including website content, press releases, newsletters and social media, with the ability to translate messaging effectively for internal and external audiences.
- Technology savvy with proficiency in Office 365, Canva, Adobe Suite, Facebook and LinkedIn.
- The ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Consistently demonstrate a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Experience working in a large global, matrixed organization.
- Demonstrated experience developing communication strategies, plans, and messaging, as well as a willingness to manage creative, public relations and other external agencies.
- Willingness to contribute and assist beyond day-to-day communications responsibilities,
- Ability to operate with ambiguity and openness to experimentation.
- Proficient in AP style is highly preferred.
