Corporate Controller

We are seeking a seasoned accounting leader with deep experience operating in large, complex, and globally scaled organizations, including multinational environments with revenues in the billions. This position is a fully on-site role based in our North Canton, Ohio office. Our center offers a welcoming and conveniently located work environment, including a cafeteria with hot meals, a coffee cafe, and gym for employees. Sponsorship is not available for this position.

Position Summary

This position is responsible for the accounting and finance operations of the organization including financial close, financial consolidation and internal reporting, accounting policy and procedures, and financial systems.

Essential Functions

  • Lead the accounting function and teams with a continuous focus on improving policies, processes, procedures, and systems
  • Manage the month-end close process including entity consolidations, corporate entries, and the finalization of a monthly trial balance. Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and conformity with professional accounting standards and best practices in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Interpret and analyze monthly/quarterly/annual results.
    • Review, investigate, and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports.
    • Review and approve financial statements to ensure accuracy of financial information and compliance with US GAAP.
    • Review and approve account reconciliations (quarterly, at a minimum).
    • Review and approve monthly account fluctuation explanations.
  • Oversee and coordinate the activities of the external auditors to ensure successful completion of annual financial audit.
  • Participate in the development of the Company’s strategic and financial planning activities with senior management, including the evaluation and impact of new initiatives and regulatory developments on the business.
  • Represent the accounting function in acquisition analysis and acquisition integration.
  • Participate in ongoing organizational and individual development within the accounting organization to be able to transform and adapt the accounting organization to the Company’s changing business needs and strategies.
    • Builds and enhances a strong accounting team that provides proactive support and results-driven execution of responsibilities to meet the current and future needs of the business.
    • Manages and coaches employees to facilitate engagement and professional development. Continually strives to develop talent within the accounting organization to promote individual development.
    • Aligns and activates resources to resolve issues and/or take advantage of opportunities arising from organizational change.
