What you will be doing as our Cost Analyst

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Analyst (C55) to join our IMR Water Recycling alliance team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring financial transparency, cost control, and value optimisation across metering repair activities, supporting both operational performance and strategic decision-making.

Working closely with operational teams and alliance partners, you will provide insight into cost performance, identify efficiencies, and help drive continuous improvement. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives on data analysis and enjoys influencing outcomes in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse and monitor costs associated with maintenance repair activities across alliance partners

  • Produce regular financial and performance reports, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities

  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost planning processes within the Water Recycling function

  • Work collaboratively with operational teams to identify and deliver cost efficiencies

  • Validate and challenge financial data, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal controls

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance financial performance and reporting

Key Skills & Behaviours

  • Strong analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets

  • High attention to detail and accuracy in financial analysis and reporting

  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to present insights to non-financial stakeholders

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial or data analysis tools

  • Collaborative mindset with the confidence to challenge and influence decisions

  • Proactive, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
