Cost Control Engineer
We are seeking a Cost Control Engineer to manage budgeting, cost tracking, forecasting, and financial reporting for high‑value construction projects. The role provides clear financial visibility, ensures cost discipline, and supports decision‑making across the project lifecycle. You will work closely with Planning, Commercial, Procurement, Finance, and site teams to safeguard project profitability and control cost risks.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop project budgets and Cost Breakdown Structures (CBS).
- Monitor costs against budgets and highlight variances or risks.
- Prepare monthly cost reports, forecasts, dashboards, and KPIs.
- Align cost data with project progress and earned value metrics.
- Validate quantities, productivity, and subcontractor payment applications.
- Review supplier and subcontractor invoices for accuracy and compliance.
- Track commitments, expenditures, and remaining costs.
- Prepare Cost‑to‑Complete (CTC) and Estimate at Completion (EAC).
- Assess commercial impacts of variations and design changes.
- Maintain accurate, auditable cost records and support internal/client audits.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
- 8–10 years of cost control experience in contracting or real estate development (UAE preferred).
- Strong knowledge of BOQs, construction cost structures, and commercial processes.
- Experience in budgeting, cost reporting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Familiarity with Planning coordination and progress measurement systems.
Preferred Certifications
- CCP®, CAE®, EVM, PMP®, or ERP system training (Oracle, SAP, BuildSmart, MS Dynamics).
