Cost Engineer

Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to manage all aspects of cost estimation, budgeting, and contract administration for construction projects. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring projects are completed within budget while maintaining quality and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents for construction projects
  • Conduct cost analysis and monitor project expenditures
  • Evaluate and process subcontractor quotations and claims
  • Prepare progress claims, variation orders, and final accounts
  • Perform site measurements and valuations of work done
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and suppliers
  • Ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements
  • Provide financial reporting and cost control advice to project teams

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, or related field
  • Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in the construction industry
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts and cost management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and QS-related software
  • Good analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in local Singapore construction projects
  • Familiarity with BCA regulations and standard forms of contract (e.g. SIA, PSSCOC)
