This role sits at the intersection of legal, real estate, and global operations within a fast-scaling technology organization. It is responsible for structuring and negotiating a wide range of commercial leases and operational vendor agreements across multiple jurisdictions. The position plays a critical advisory function, supporting senior business leaders on workplace, facilities, and outsourcing strategies. It requires strong commercial judgment to balance legal risk with business velocity in a high-growth environment. The role also involves close partnership with cross-functional teams including real estate, finance, security, and procurement. Beyond deal execution, it contributes to building scalable frameworks, playbooks, and processes that support global expansion. This is a highly visible position where legal expertise directly enables operational execution at scale.

Accountabilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial real estate leases, subleases, occupancy licenses, lease amendments, and related property agreements across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Structure and negotiate a wide range of operational and professional services contracts, including facilities management, construction, outsourced operations, consulting, security, and vendor agreements.
  • Advise senior stakeholders on legal, real estate, and operational risk matters, acting as a trusted partner to workplace, finance, security, and operations teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional functions such as procurement, tax, finance, and third-party risk to ensure alignment on global contracting and compliance standards.
  • Identify legal, commercial, and operational risks in lease and vendor arrangements and develop pragmatic solutions that support business objectives.
  • Manage outside counsel relationships globally and serve as an escalation point for complex legal matters.
  • Develop and improve internal tools, playbooks, and processes to increase efficiency and consistency across high-volume workflows.
  • Requirements

    • 6–8+ years of legal experience in a law firm and/or in-house environment focused on commercial real estate leasing and operational services contracting.
    • Strong expertise in lease structures, landlord-tenant law, and real estate transactions across one or more jurisdictions.
    • Proven ability to negotiate complex operational agreements such as facilities, outsourcing, consulting, and managed services contracts.
    • Excellent business judgment with the ability to navigate ambiguity and make practical, risk-balanced decisions.
    • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple concurrent transactions under tight deadlines.
    • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate complex legal concepts into clear, actionable guidance.
    • High attention to detail, strong ownership mindset, and a proactive, solutions-oriented approach.
    • Collaborative and humble working style with the ability to operate effectively in cross-functional, fast-paced environments.
