About the Court Data Access Team
Our Court Data Access team is dedicated to expanding access to critical court documents and judicial data globally. We believe that transparent, accessible legal information strengthens trust in the justice system and drives better societal outcomes.
The team’s mission is to forge partnerships with courts and judicial institutions to open access to valuable legal content — combining advocacy, relationship-building, and technology enablement to advance public access to justice.
About the Role
We are seeking a Court Access Account Executive to join our U.S. team. This is a unique opportunity to combine consultative sales, public-sector engagement, and strategic relationship management.
The Account Executive will lead outreach to county, state, and municipal courts to develop partnerships that enable access to public records and judicial data. Success in this role depends on diplomacy, credibility, and the ability to align the interests of courts, policymakers, and LexisNexis’s mission.
You will collaborate with colleagues across Legal, Content, Technology, and Government Affairs teams to design partnerships that deliver measurable value to both the courts and LexisNexis, expanding the depth and quality of court data powering products such as Lexis+, Protégé, and Lex Machina.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead engagement with court decision-makers, including executive officers, judges, clerks, and IT directors.
- Identify, qualify, and secure partnerships with court systems to expand data and document access.
- Build and manage a robust pipeline of court access opportunities, supported by CRM tracking and reporting.
- Develop and execute regional and national engagement strategies, including conferences, roundtables, and direct outreach.
- Advocate for the shared public benefits of data-sharing relationships and increased judicial transparency.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment on legal, technical, and operational requirements for court partnerships.
- Educate stakeholders on how LexisNexis solutions enhance access, analytics, and efficiency within the justice ecosystem.
- Contribute insights to product and policy teams to inform strategy and ensure sustainable, compliant data acquisition.
Qualifications
- Proven success in business development, government relations, or public-sector enterprise sales, ideally within the legal or technology industries.
- Strong consultative and strategic selling skills — able to navigate complex stakeholder environments with professionalism and tact.
- Deep understanding of or curiosity about legal technology, judicial administration, and public-sector data ecosystems.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities, capable of earning trust with senior judicial officials.
- Highly self-motivated and organized, able to manage long sales cycles and multiple engagements simultaneously.
- Willingness to travel regularly within the U.S. for meetings, conferences, and stakeholder events.
Why Join Us
This role offers a rare opportunity to be part of a mission-driven initiative that advances transparency and modernizes access to justice. You’ll help shape how courts engage with technology and data — creating long-term value for the legal community and the public at large.
