WHO ARE WE?

WE ARE ONA is a 360° creative culinary studio, designing experiences that reinforce the emotional connection between brands and their audiences.

Founded by Luca Pronzato in 2019, a sommelier and restaurateur previously working at NOMA Copenhagen, WE ARE ONA was born from the traditional fine dining scene, with the ambition to explore innovative ways of creating culinary events: from strategy and concept, to design and production.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

The Set Designer is responsible for the creative development and scenographic production of their projects. Working closely with the Creative Director, the Studio Manager & Art Director, and the Lead Creative Producer, they translate the creative vision into a feasible set design, coordinate the various project stakeholders, and oversee production through to installation.

KEY RESPONSABILITIES

  • Creative Development

    • Develop the project's artistic direction in collaboration with the Studio Manager & Art Director.

    • Design the set concepts: plans, elevations, sketches, technical drawings, layouts, and production documents.

    • Take part in creative research, sourcing, and the project's evolution throughout its development.

    • Ensure the quality of presentations: layout, storytelling, overall consistency, and sourcing quality.

    Project Production

    • Oversee the production follow-up of the set design in collaboration with the Account Manager, the Production Manager, and the Lead Creative Producer.

    • Take part in site visits, technical surveys, and layouts.

    • Coordinate the project's creative vendors (graphic designers, illustrators, 3D designers, etc.).

    • Coordinate the project's set design partners (builders, florists, lighting designers, textile suppliers, etc.) in conjunction with the production teams.

    Operational Follow-up

    • Ensure the project's creative schedule is respected.

    • Update the creative dashboard (Notion) daily, as well as their own schedule (days off, site visits, installations, travel, etc.).

    • Prepare the materials needed for Creative Reviews with the Art Direction and the Lead Creative Producer.

    • Take part in post-mortems to identify areas for improvement on future projects.

    Installations (Move-in/Build)

    • Take part in the installation of the projects they are responsible for.

    • Ensure the proper execution of the set design on-site and handle any necessary adjustments through to final delivery.

PROFILE

  • SKILLS REQUIRED

    • Experience in set design or event space design.

    • Strong creative and aesthetic sensibility.

    • Solid command of technical drawings and drafting.

    • Rigor, organization, and autonomy.

    • Ability to manage several projects in parallel.

    • Team spirit and excellent communication skills.

SOFTWARES

  • Google Slides, Photoshop, InDesign, AutoCAD, SketchUp (or equivalent).
