Curatorial Research Assistant (Central)
Job Scope:
· Support the curatorial team’s research on Singapore’s post-independence history for special galleries. This includes:
o Research on existing and new artefacts and documents
o Background research and preparation for the conduct oforal history interviews and the management of the video interviews andproduction
· Conduct archival research on relevant images and audio-visual material
· Seek permissions and copyright clearances for material curated for use in exhibitions, including for multimedia, publications as well as education and public programmes
· Manage content and asset delivery for exhibition design, fabrication and translations
· Provide administrative and operational support for the abovementioned curatorial projects
Duration: 1 Year
Working Hours: Mondays to Fridays (office hours)
Location: Beach Road
Salary: Up to $4000/Month
Requirements:
· Recognised degree/diploma in History or the Humanities or other disciplines relevant to Singapore’s post-independence history and nation building policies. Diploma holders with relevant work experience will also be considered
· Proven excellence in research, analytical, writing and presentation skills
· Ability to think creatively and imaginatively, with strengths in synthesizing information from different sources and storytelling
· Background in video production will be a strong advantage
· Strong administrative and project management skills
· Team player with excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
