Custody Operations (Trade Settlement / Corporate Banking / $9K) (ID: 702517)
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the establishment and rollout of custody services, encompassing safekeeping, settlement, corporate actions, and related operational processes.
- Coordinate with internal teams, including Operations, Compliance, Risk, Finance, and Technology, to ensure effective implementation and service delivery.
- Execute daily custody operations tasks, such as cash management, trade settlement follow-ups, reconciliations, issue tracking, and process escalations.
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of custody-related procedures, operational guidelines, and internal documentation aligned with regulatory and internal standards.
- Support client onboarding efforts and promptly address operational queries.
- Monitor corporate actions, settlement statuses, and operational risks to facilitate timely resolution.
- Contribute to system enhancement and digitalization initiatives, including gathering business requirements, user acceptance testing, and process improvements.
- Prepare operational reports, service updates, and internal records, including supporting journal entries as needed.
- Observe workflow issues and propose practical enhancements to strengthen controls and improve operating efficiencies.
- Undertake other duties as assigned by the team lead.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience in custody operations.
- Strong understanding of custody-related processes, including settlement, reconciliations, and corporate actions.
- Experience creating operational documents and procedure workflows is advantageous.
- Excellent coordination and communication skills, with the capability to liaise effectively with multiple stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented and hands-on, with a proven ability to manage operational tasks efficiently.
- Familiarity with system implementation, user acceptance testing, and process automation is a plus.
- Strong written communication skills are essential for effective reporting and documentation.
- Ability to engage with materials and stakeholders effectively, including potential bilingual communications when required.
