Job Description

We are seeking a Marketing Audience & Segmentation Specialist to support our global marketing organization by developing, managing, and optimizing customer audiences for activation across digital marketing channels. This role will focus on leveraging our Customer Data Platform (CDP), Adobe Experience Platform (AEP), and related technologies to build scalable audience frameworks that enable personalized customer engagement.

The ideal candidate combines strong analytical and technical skills with an understanding of digital marketing channels, customer journeys, and data-driven targeting. Working within a centralized shared services team, this individual will collaborate closely with marketing, marketing automation, digital merchandising, and demand generation teams to ensure audiences are accurately defined, automated, and activated across multiple channels.

This is a hands-on role responsible for translating business requirements into actionable audience segments that improve marketing effectiveness and customer experience.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize customer audiences and segments using Adobe Experience Platform (AEP), Customer Data Platform (CDP), and related technologies.

  • Translate business objectives, campaign requirements, and customer engagement strategies into scalable audience definitions.

  • Create and manage reusable audience frameworks, taxonomies, and segmentation standards to support consistent targeting across marketing initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve audience precision, personalization, and reach through enhanced segmentation logic and customer insights.
  • Support customer lifecycle, behavioral, demographic, firmographic, and intent-based audience development.

Audience Activation & Automation

  • Build and automate audience workflows that support activation across multiple marketing channels, including marketing automation and email campaigns, website personalization and on-site merchandising, and third-party demand generation and advertising platforms.
  • Ensure audiences are refreshed, maintained, and synchronized across integrated marketing technologies.
  • Validate audience eligibility, data quality, and activation readiness prior to deployment.
  • Partner with channel owners to support audience execution and troubleshoot activation issues.

Data Management & Governance

  • Maintain audience documentation, business rules, and segmentation standards.
  • Ensure audience development aligns with data governance, privacy, and compliance requirements.
  • Monitor audience performance and data quality, identifying and resolving issues impacting targeting accuracy.
  • Support efforts to improve customer identity resolution, profile completeness, and data enrichment capabilities.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Partner with marketing automation, digital marketing, demand generation, analytics, and data teams to align audience strategies with business goals.
  • Support testing and optimization initiatives by developing audience variants for experimentation and performance measurement.
  • Contribute to process improvements that increase efficiency, scalability, and consistency across audience creation and activation workflows.
  • Stay informed on CDP capabilities, audience management best practices, and emerging personalization technologies.

Required Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of experience in marketing operations, audience development, customer segmentation, marketing automation, or related digital marketing functions.
  • Hands-on experience with Customer Data Platforms (CDPs), Adobe Experience Platform (AEP), marketing automation platforms, or similar audience management technologies.
  • Strong understanding of customer segmentation principles and audience targeting methodologies.
  • Experience working with customer data, behavioral data, and campaign targeting requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred

  • Experience with Adobe Experience Platform (AEP), Adobe Real-Time CDP, Oracle Eloqua, Salesforce, or related MarTech platforms.
  • Understanding of email marketing, website personalization, digital merchandising, paid media, and demand generation channels.
  • Familiarity with customer journey orchestration and audience activation workflows.
  • Experience working in a global, shared services, or centralized marketing operations environment.
  • Basic understanding of privacy regulations and marketing data governance practices.
