Are you passionate about investments and want to contribute to our growth ambition? This is your chance! We are looking for a senior CJE/ Business Analyst for our shared platform who wants to take on the challenge to make our platform ready for the next steps. Our shared platform spans from our back-end system Europort, which is responsible for the investment transactions and account management, to the mobile banking app and web application where clients can manage their personal investments.

The team
You will be joining the Investment Services team, part of ING’s broader Global Investments Tribe within Retail. We are a relatively new and fast-growing team with a strong sense of ownership and a clear focus on delivery. The culture is entrepreneurial, hands-on, and collaborative, with a real “make it happen” mindset.

At the core of our work is the customer journey. We design and build end-to-end investment flows that aim to deliver a seamless and intuitive experience for our customers. At the same time, we operate with a global mindset, creating scalable solutions and features that can be rolled out across multiple markets.

The team brings together diverse roles and backgrounds, united by a shared drive to improve customer satisfaction and deliver tangible results. There is a strong team spirit, an open and friendly atmosphere, and a genuine sense of enjoyment in what we build together.

Roles and responsibilities
You work together in an international team with other Customer Journey Experts, front-end and back-end developers, both onside and offshore. Together with your team you are end to end responsible for maintaining, improving and rebuilding the journeys in the scope of your squad.

Examples of activities you do in your squad:

  • designing, developing and testing new and enhanced capabilities to support further development of our platform. Examples of capabilities of the platform are Ordering, Money Transfers or Corporate actions;
  • thinking globally: the capabilities should be reusable and scalable across other ING countries;
  • bringing the platform to a higher (technical) standard and expanding the number of functionalities we offer;
  • adding new investments product to the platform, like a Pension Investment product we are currently developing;
  • together with your Product Lead defining the roadmap, translating that into deliverables, and supporting the team in reaching the goals defined;
  • proactively engaging stakeholders to ensure further expansion of the use of our capabilities throughout the bank;
  • helping to reduce time to market, enrich customer journeys, and drive cost savings by optimizing our platform;
  • maintaining the IT landscape needed to support all this;
  • managing incidents, answering stakeholder questions, and taking responsibility for the E2E Investments chain, operational risk management and organizational processes.

How to succeed
We hire smart people like you for your potential. Our biggest expectation is that you’ll stay curious. Keep learning. Take on responsibility. In return, we’ll back you to develop into an even more awesome version of yourself. You

  • have a passion for investments: you know our products and you are willing to put time and energy in increasing your craftsmanship in the field of investments;
  • understand complex financial instruments and their implications;
  • have at least 5 years of experience working in the industry;
  • have a strong affinity with Business to IT: writing stories, hunting bugs, refinement, testing and putting releases to production is one of the key elements of your job;
  • have excellent English skills both verbally and written;
  • like to work in a complex environment where a strong growth ambition, complex rules and regulations and IT challenges come together;
  • have a digital first mindset and have an idea on how we can develop our products in such a way that processes are simple and STP (Straight-Through Processing);
  • have worked in a complex architectural application landscape;
  • understand what changes are needed, have the skills to analyze them and create a new solution;
  • can handle pressure in case of incident management;
  • have strong analytical skills;
