Customer Project Engineer
Position Summary
If you are a Customer Project Engineer professional Iooking for an opportunity to grow your career, this is your chance to build embedded, real-time control software that directly improves wind turbine performance and reliability in the field. You will take projects from concept to commissioning—translating customer needs into robust solutions while collaborating with engineering, service, and commissioning teams. You’ll also help advance practical AI adoption in daily engineering work by bringing ideas, experimenting responsibly, and contributing to implementation that improves how the team designs, tests, and documents software.
For This Role, You Will Need:
- Formal training and/or practical experience in electronics, electrotechnology, or computer science (technician or engineer level), with a strong foundation in software and systems thinking.
- Working understanding of wind turbine operations and the challenges of developing software for complex, high-performance systems.
- Hands-on experience with C and/or C++ for embedded software development.
- Familiarity with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and development for embedded platforms.
- Fluent English communication skills (written and spoken), with the ability to collaborate across cultures and document work clearly.
- Availability for international travel to support commissioning, investigations, and customer needs.
- Practical AI knowledge—comfort using AI tools responsibly to enhance daily work (e.g., drafting technical documentation, summarizing logs, supporting test plans) and understanding key concepts like data sensitivity, verification, and limitations.
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
- Knowledge of control theory and its application to wind turbine systems (e.g., control loops, stability, performance tuning).
- Experience with software testing practices for embedded systems (automation, verification strategies, defect triage).
- Experience working in a matrix organization with multiple stakeholders and shared accountability.
- Danish language proficiency.
- Experience participating in commissioning/service activities in industrial environments, with a safety-first mindset.
- Experience integrating modern engineering practices (e.g., CI basics, code review discipline, structured documentation).
- Ability and interest to help lead AI adoption within the team by proposing use cases, sharing practical guidance, and supporting colleagues in building confidence with AI-enabled workflows.
