JOB DESCRIPTION


WayFinder Logistics is a fast-growing, third-party logistics (3PL) company offering freight brokerage (non-asset-based transportation) services, including truckload, intermodal, flatbed, expedited, LTL, etc.


WayFinder seeks a personable and highly organized Customer Facing Sales professional to join our team.


As a Customer Sales Representative, you’ll make a positive impact by developing your book of business including consultative customer selling; development of new clientele; and continuous knowledge of the market conditions.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Strategically develop new customers (lead generation, pricing, follow up) to increase company profitability
  • Prospect for leads and perform cold-calling to pipeline businesses
  • Pursue, build, and develop/maintain relationships with a focus on consistent revenue growth and account penetration
  • Create efficiencies for customers as a consultative logistics provider
  • Possess continuous/ongoing knowledge of market conditions, industry developments, and industry networking
  • Facilitate bids and RFPs, as well as, ability to spot quote
  • Composure and poise in a customer-centric environment
  • Maintain, grow and nurture a “book of business”


REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE


  • 8+ years of sales experience within supply chain, logistics, transportation
  • Bachelor’s Degree heavily preferred
  • A blend of education and applied work experience may be considered


WORKPLACE & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS


  • Ability to work from a WayFinder office as needed and upon request, consistent with the company hybrid work policy. In-Office work is required during the onboarding/training period. Thereafter, customer sales reps are expected to conduct in-office work 2 days per week.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting/standing at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times
