Customer Service Officer

Provide patients a positive experience while they are being treated at our dental clinic and support the running of the practice.

Duties and Responsibilities

Telephone/Email Coverage

  • Answering calls and responding to inquiries.
  • Reminder calls for appointment confirmation and rescheduling appointments.
  • Reply to patient’s inquiries through email.

Registration

  • Schedules appointments and enters appointment date and time into computerized scheduler with a high rate of accuracy.
  • Registers patients by verifying that patient's record is up to date and accurate.
  • Check patients’ medical history and drug allergies.
  • Check for insurance coverage and intention to use insurance or government subsidies such as CHAS.

Collection

  • Collects payment from patients, applies payments to patient accounts in the computer system, and reconciles daily cash reports.

Clinic Administration

  • Locating patient files and cases.
  • Prepare PowerPoint for doctor counseling.
  • Process claims with insurance companies and government agencies e.g. CHAS, Medisave.
  • Liaising with dental labs for sending and receiving of cases.
  • Recording lab charges and deducting from dentist takings.

Financial and Product Counseling

  • Educate and teach patient on correct use of braces and Invisalign.
