About LARVOL
LARVOL is a healthcare SaaS company specializing in oncology intelligence. Our products help pharmaceutical companies and life sciences teams make sense of the oncology landscape: drug development, clinical trials, competitive activity, and emerging science. We are a fully distributed, globally remote team.
About the Role
We are looking for an Scientific Solutions Consultant to lead high-value enterprise discovery and solution design with pharma and biotech prospects. This is not a traditional Customer Success role. This is a high-visibility, commercial discovery role where you will engage early with leads to deeply understand their scientific workflows, uncover hidden use cases, and structure high-value enterprise deals. You will work directly with the CEO, Head of Sales, and Director of AI to shape high-value opportunities, support new sales, expansions, and renewals, and translate customer needs into product and platform direction.
This role is ideal for someone with strong life sciences or oncology credibility who wants to apply their scientific background in a commercial, consultative, and AI-enabled business environment. We are open to candidates from scientific, consulting, competitive intelligence, medical affairs, or life sciences SaaS backgrounds.
What You'll Do
- Lead scientific and business discovery with pharma and biotech prospects and customers, mapping their workflows, pain points, and decision-making needs to LARVOL’s product, data, and AI capabilities
- Help customers identify use cases they may not have clearly defined yet
- Run tailored demos that connect LARVOL’s capabilities to each customer’s specific oncology, competitive intelligence, medical affairs, or business-development needs
- Translate customer needs and feedback into actionable input for the AI, product, and engineering teams
- Partner with the Director of AI and Data Science to ensure customer-driven priorities shape product evolution
- Support enterprise account growth and expansion across our product portfolio, driving early and mid-stage discovery and solution design to shape the commercial framework of the deal.
- Partner with commercial teams on pre-sales and solutioning, helping shape proposals, navigate stakeholder dynamics, and drive deal closure
- Stay current on the oncology landscape: clinical trial activity, regulatory shifts, competitive dynamics, and emerging science
What We're Looking For
- A formal educational background in life sciences, biomedical sciences, oncology, or a related field or hands-on experience in oncology, translational research, molecular biology, or pharmaceutical competitive intelligence.
- Ability to engage credibly with scientific, clinical, medical affairs, competitive intelligence, and commercial stakeholders
- Strong consultative communication skills, including the ability to ask smart questions, uncover needs, and translate complexity into practical solutions
- Ability to understand technical concepts such as APIs, data delivery, AI workflows, and enterprise platform use cases. Deep technical expertise is not required, but curiosity and quick learning are essential
- Strong written and spoken English
- Self-directed, comfortable operating as an independent contractor in a fully remote and globally distributed team
- Experience supporting enterprise account growth and commercial expansion in a complex B2B environment
- Availability during US business hours
This Role Is Not a Fit If
- Your experience is rooted in non-life-sciences sectors (e.g., HR software, fintech, marketing technology, general enterprise SaaS). Domain expertise in oncology or pharma is the core of this role, not a nice-to-have
- You do not have working familiarity with oncology, clinical research, medical affairs, or the pharmaceutical industry
- You require regular in-person collaboration or office presence
What We Offer
- Independent contractor engagement with full flexibility on where you work
- 100% remote, 100% of the time. No required travel
- High-impact role with direct CEO engagement and visibility across the business
- Opportunity to shape customer outcomes and product direction for a category-leading oncology intelligence platform
- Compensation commensurate with experience
