As a Customs & Trade Compliance Specialist II, you’ll join our Logistics team in Baku and help support import and export activities across Azerbaijan. You’ll gain exposure to customs procedures, international trade operations, freight forwarding processes, and compliance requirements while collaborating with experienced colleagues who will support your development.

About the Company
You’ll be based in NOV’s Baku city office and work alongside colleagues supporting multiple NOV business units across Azerbaijan, including Rig Aftermarket, ReedHycalog, Downhole, Tuboscope, Brandt, Elmar, and Grant Prideco.
You’ll collaborate regularly with Logistics, Procurement, Finance, Operations, and external customs and freight partners, gaining broad exposure to the full supply chain process.

Key responsibilities
You will support the day-to-day customs and trade activities required to ensure the smooth movement of goods into and out of Azerbaijan.
Your responsibilities will include:
· Supporting import and export activities and customs-related processes
· Monitoring shipments and assisting with customs clearance activities
· Reviewing and processing logistics and customs documentation
· Registering, maintaining, and organizing trade and shipment records
· Updating reports, statistics, and tracking tables
· Working closely with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and internal stakeholders
· Supporting customs declaration processes and document verification
· Assisting with tariff classification, customs valuation, and trade compliance activities
· Supporting audits and maintaining documentation in accordance with company requirements
· Conducting restricted party screening and compliance checks
· Helping identify opportunities to improve logistics and customs processes
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Trade, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
· Native Azerbaijan and great English language skills (Russian language skills are nice to have)
· Some experience or willingness to learn more about logistics, freight forwarding, customs, trade regulations, ERP systems
· Good computer and data management skills
· Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
· Ability to work effectively with different stakeholders
