The Digital & Technology (D&T) organization leads enterprise transformation across AI/ML, Automation, Data, Cloud, Enterprise Platforms, and Digital Engineering.

Role Purpose

The Lead D&T – Intelligent Automation is a senior technical leadership role responsible for defining, architecting, and scaling enterprise-wide intelligent automation solutions across General Mills’ global operations.

This role acts as a hands-on technical authority and strategic influencer, partnering with business, Enterprise Architecture, Data & AI, and platform teams to deliver secure, scalable, and future-ready automation solutions across RPA, low-code/no-code, enterprise integrations, and emerging agentic and AI-driven automation.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Full-time graduation from an accredited university.

  • 14+ years of experience in Digital & Technology with deep expertise in Intelligent Automation and enterprise platforms.

  • Proven track record delivering large-scale automation programs in global enterprise environments.

  • Strong hands-on experience with RPA and low-code/no-code platforms (UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Microsoft Power Automate, ServiceNow, or equivalent).

  • Solid expertise in enterprise integrations, APIs (REST/SOAP), messaging, and event-driven architectures.

  • Strong grounding in automation architecture, orchestration, exception handling, observability, scalability, and resilience.

  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Agentic Automation frameworks, AI orchestration, and AI/ML integration.

  • Domain experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or operations-driven enterprises.

  • Experience working in global delivery models and agile-at-scale environments.

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and enterprise automation governance and security.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and lead the enterprise Intelligent Automation strategy across RPA, low-code/no-code, workflow, and AI-enabled automation.

  • Architect scalable, secure automation solutions integrated with core enterprise platforms (ERP, Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, HR, Data).

  • Own end-to-end delivery of complex, high-impact automation initiatives from design through production.

  • Drive API-first, event-driven, and service-oriented integration patterns aligned with enterprise architecture standards.

  • Lead adoption of Agentic Automation, AI orchestration, GenAI, LLMs, and human-in-the-loop automation models.

  • Establish automation standards, reusable components, and governance to ensure quality, performance, scalability, and security.

  • Provide architectural oversight, conduct technical and design reviews, and resolve complex automation and integration challenges.

  • Act as a trusted technical advisor to business and D&T leadership, translating technology into measurable business value.

  • Mentor senior engineers and strengthen the Intelligent Automation engineering community.
