Data Analyst - Demand and Capacity Planning
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Demand Planning Data Analyst prepares business-related analyses and research for the Supply Chain, with a strong focus on Planning. The individual builds forecasts, analyzes trends related to planning, and synthesizes data to compile reports, graphs, and charts to ensure efficiency and optimize departmental operations.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE
Forecast & Data Management:
Develop and follow up with demand forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons; analyze and track accuracy to strengthen forecast confidence.
Based on demand, coordinate with the Raw Material team & Scheduling team to balance production and inventory plans and in-line with operating strategy.
Perform daily/weekly updates on demand planning tools such as the Capacity model, data tracking system, etc.
Capacity Management:
Conduct capacity simulation and analysis for 2 sites in Hub & Spokes to ensure capacity sufficiency and efficiency at local and global level
Coordinate operational teams for capacity preparation and evaluation in peak seasons
Analyze capacity evaluation for new project development with Project Team to gain the new business and sufficient preparation
Monitor actual sales performance and capacity to carry out capacity ramp-up actions; provide timely alerts and heads-up under Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) requirements.
Collaboration & Operations:
Be a main contact between Global Supply Chain and local operational teams for Demand & Capacity forecasting.
Drive demand alignment among Central Demand Planning, Commercial, Finance, and Operations to ensure the accuracy status of demand in each period.
Work closely with the Commercial and Material Planning teams to handle forecast abnormalities to ensure service maintenance, backlog management, and capacity balancing.
Proactively propose strategic action plans to address demand and capacity constraints.
Reporting Management:
Provide timely and effective analysis, data, and information related to the demand planning function as required.
Coordinate and provide deep insights and reports for Sales and Operations Planning meetings.
Maintain and follow the demand planning process to ensure proper processes are in place; participate in process documentation and improvement.
Perform other tasks assigned by the direct manager.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree or higher.
1 - 3 years of experience in Supply Chain, Material Planning, Logistics or related analytical fields.
Technical & System Skills:
Technical mindset: Good analytical, mathematical, and data-driven mindset; well-organized and highly detail-oriented.
Data analysis & storytelling: Ability to design, develop, and maintain tables, formulas, graphs, queries, and macros; good understanding of computer systems applicable to the job (Advance Google Workspace is a plus). Ability to transform raw, dry numbers into meaningful insights/stories to influence and persuade stakeholders.
AI literacy: Good understanding of AI knowledge and applications (Gemini, ChatGPT, Claude).
