Position: Data Analyst

Location: Philadelphia

Duration: 6 month

Job Description:

• Play a key role in the assessment of one of our client’s major workstreams which is from healthcare enrollment through claims ready processing – to see where there are points of failure, data discrepancies and make recommendations on how they can improve their processes.

• Perform a data analysis of this claims process; and identify, address and escalate any data discrepancies/issues as a result of the analysis.

• Analyze and communicate the issues and risks as they relate to the pilot project.

• Develop and maintain a customer-focused relationship with business stakeholders by exhibiting a high level of collaboration, timely communication and responsiveness.

• Clearly set expectations for each key project milestone and then manage the business stakeholders and the project team to those expectations.


Required skills:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience performing data analysis; including identifying, addressing and escalating any data discrepancies/issues as a result of an analysis.

• Prior experience analyzing healthcare insurance claims data is a big plus; including the ability to create reports (using Excel and MS Access) to provide information that will help team understand any data discrepancies and potential data issues that require remediation.

• Must have prior consulting experience in a large corporate environment.

• Must be a self-starter, proactive, self-directed and can work efficiently with limited guidance.

• Must possess very strong organizational, task management and prioritization skills.

• Comprehensive understanding and some practical exposure to using relational databases.

• Experience with reporting tools, data warehouses, MS-Access and/or SQL query tools is a plus.

• Excellent organizational, communication, analytical and problem solving skills required.

• Ability to interact effectively with all levels of organization personnel, executive management and outside vendors,

• Must be detail oriented, focused, and have excellent analytical and problem solving skills.

• Must be customer focused – meaning must be able to understand the importance stakeholders business objectives and drive the process towards achieving those objectives.

• Strong relationship building skills and proven track record in working with all levels of an organization’s technical and business departments.

• Strong relationship building skills; must be a self-starter, enthusiastic; and possess very strong organizational, task management and prioritization skills.

• Demonstrated ability to complete deliverables on time and within budget.

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
