Supporting\nOrganisational Learning and Adaptive Strategy<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b>

  • Support teams to leverage insights for\n learning, programme improvements, and innovation, including rapid\n experimentation.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/span><\/li>
  • Support the creation of conditions for\n network\-wide rapid learning, iterative experimentation, and collective\n intelligence.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/span><\/li>
  • Translate complex data into actionable\n insights tailored to different audiences (e.g., programme teams,\n leadership, network partners).<\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/span><\/li>
  • Provide training and capacity\-building to\n strengthen data literacy and improve the organisation\u2019s ability to engage\n with data for strategic decision\-making.<\/span><\/span><\/span>

  • Work closely with the Senior Data Analyst\n and Senior MEL Manager and programme teams and external partners to\n integrate data insights into programme design and delivery.<\/span><\/span><\/span>

    Co\-Developing\nResearch and Evaluation Agenda<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b>
    <\/p>

    • Collaborate with the Research team to design\n and implement research and evaluation strategies.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
      <\/span><\/span><\/li>
    • Support the conceptualisation of research\n and/or evaluation questions, studies, and terms of reference.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
      <\/span><\/span><\/li>
    • Provide input into research design, data\n analysis, and interpretation.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
      <\/span><\/span><\/li><\/ul>

      <\/span><\/span><\/span>Data\nGovernance and Quality Assurance<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b>
      <\/p>

      • Together with the SDI team, enable and\n coordinate data governance, including data availability, accessibility,\n integrity, quality (including accuracy, consistency, and reliability),\n usability, security, and regulatory compliance (in collaboration with IT\n and legal teams).<\/span><\/span><\/span>
        <\/span><\/span><\/li>
      • Ensure data handling and analysis are\n conducted with high ethical standards, safeguarding privacy and equity\n considerations in line with SmartStart\u2019s values.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
        <\/span><\/span><\/li>
      • Conduct assessments of key data assets and\n identify potential risks or gaps, including data process mapping.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
        <\/span><\/span><\/li>
      • Support the development and maintenance of\n metadata to ensure data consistency and reliability.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
        <\/span><\/span><\/li>
      • Support the establishment of systems to\n monitor data hygiene, conduct regular quality checks, and address\n discrepancies, in collaboration with the IT department.<\/span><\/span><\/span>

        External\nEngagement and Knowledge Sharing<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b>

        <\/p>

        • Support the preparation of data and insights\n for funder reports, impact statements, and advocacy purposes.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
          <\/span><\/span><\/li>
        • Respond to queries from local and\n international researchers and analysts.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
          <\/span><\/span><\/li>
        • Engage with external partners to manage data\n sharing agreements and restructure data according to their needs.<\/span><\/span><\/span>

        • Supervise and evaluate the work of external\n consultants where necessary.<\/span><\/span><\/span>

          • A minimum of a bachelor\u2019s degree in\n education, Psychology, Economics, Social Sciences, Statistics, Public\n Health or a related field, with a masters preferred.<\/span><\/b>
            <\/li>
          • At least 2 years of experience in data\n analysis, data science, or related fields, provided the candidate can\n conceptualise and execute research/statistical analysis independently.<\/span><\/b>
            <\/li>
          • Strong quantitative and analytical skills,\n including proficiency with statistical software (e.g., Stata, R, or SPSS)<\/span><\/b>
            <\/li>
          • A strong working and theoretical knowledge\n of statistical principles, ideally relating to designing and running\n randomised control trials.<\/span><\/b>
            <\/li>
          • Experience with data visualisation tools\n (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).<\/span>
            <\/li>
          • Proven ability to drive continuous\n improvement in data systems and insights generation.<\/span>
            <\/li>
          • Strong communication and report\-writing\n skills, with the ability to explain complex data to non\-technical\n audiences.<\/span>
            <\/li>
          • Experience in managing and working with\n large datasets and relational databases.<\/span>
            <\/li>
          • Familiarity with data governance, including\n privacy, compliance, and security requirements.<\/span>
            <\/li>
          • Ability to work collaboratively and\n effectively in a cross\-functional team environment.<\/span>
            <\/li>
          • Demonstrated ability to design and implement\n rapid experiments.<\/span>
