Data Center, Product Design Engineer

As a Data Center Product Design Engineer, you will support development of systems from chip to server to rack. Your role will be to engineer products from concept to production in order to produce the most energy efficient, cost effective, and scalable designs possible! Minimum Qualifications BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent degree Strong engineering fundamentals: solid mechanics, material science, heat transfer, mechanism design, manufacturing Ability to travel up to 20% in North America and Asia to support factory builds Preferred Qualifications MS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent 2 years Mechanical Engineering experience, or equivalent internship experience Experience with the server mechanical development cycle from prototyping to high volume manufacturing Working knowledge of tolerance analysis, metrology and simple fixture design, fit and function validation, and mechanical testing methodologies including Instron, strain gauge, accelerometer Experience with failure analysis; strong logical reasoning skills and methodical approach to finding root cause Excellent written and verbal communication skills: ability to clearly convey design ideas and requirements within the team and to cross-functional partners and vendors Ability to engage in healthy collaborative debate and a keen analytical mindset A strong sense of ownership and drive for excellence
