The Data Governance Leader is a strategic and\ndetail\-oriented professional responsible for leading enterprise\-wide data\ngovernance initiatives. This role involves the development, maintenance, and\npromotion of data governance policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs),\nand frameworks, ensuring alignment across business and technology stakeholders.\nThe incumbent plays a key role in fostering a culture of data accountability,\nquality, and compliance throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities:<\/b>
<\/p>- Governance\n Strategy & Execution:<\/b>
<\/li>- Leads\n the adoption and implementation of enterprise\-wide data governance\n policies and SOPs.
<\/li> - Ensures\n governance practices are supported by appropriate tools and technologies.
<\/li><\/ul> - Framework\n & Policy Management:<\/b>
<\/li>- Maintains\n the Data Governance Framework Handbook with up\-to\-date policies and SOPs.
<\/li> - Communicates\n updates to the Data Governance Council and other relevant stakeholders.
<\/li><\/ul> - Stakeholder\n Engagement:<\/b>
<\/li>- Collaborates\n with data owners, stewards, and custodians to define, revise, and\n implement governance policies and SOPs.
<\/li> - Facilitates\n resolution of data\-related issues and supports the rollout of new\n governance practices.
<\/li><\/ul> - Technology\n & Enablement:<\/b>
<\/li>- Partners\n with Product Managers and IT teams to ensure governance tools are aligned\n with organizational policies and SOPs.
<\/li> - Oversees\n the deployment and integration of governance tools across the enterprise.
<\/li><\/ul> - Council\n Leadership & Reporting:<\/b>
<\/li>- Organizes\n and conducts regular Data Governance Council meetings.
<\/li> - Tracks\n and publishes data governance KPIs to leadership and enterprise\-wide\n audiences.
<\/li><\/ul> - Working Group Leadership<\/span>:<\/b>
<\/li>- Leads and collaborates with\n cross\-functional working groups comprising data stewards, custodians, IT,\n and other stakeholders to resolve data governance issues effectively<\/span>
